Beautiful Places of Wailuku

There are a number of different places in the census designated place of Wailuku which are nothing short of being beautiful. One of them is the Tropical Gardens of Maui. This is a nursery which is spread over an area of four acres, and also consists of a botanical garden. The Tropical Gardens of Maui is located in Wailuku at 200 Iao Valley Road.

Wailuku itself is located on the island of Maui, which is situated in Hawaii. Hawaii is one of the states of the United States of America. There is no charge to visit the gardens, and they are open every day. It was in the year 1987 when the Tropical Gardens of Maui were established. These gardens are located in the floor of the valley, and are at a height of two hundred and forty meters, which is equivalent to eight hundred feet. The labels of the plants are according to the country were they originated from, their common name, and their botanical name.

Another beautiful place in Wailuku is the Iao Valley State Park . It is located on Highway 32 at the end of the Iao Valley Road. The valley is lovely and deep, and one of the many features is the Iao Needle. The Iao Needle is basically a rock pinnacle which is natural, and it stands over the Iao Steram. The walls of the Pu'u Kui Crater surround this natural rock pinnacle. There used to be a time when this was used as a natural altar. The area is very peaceful and very lush.

There are a lot of exotic plants and tracks for easy hiking. Those who go to the top of the risge can enjoy a fantastic view which covers the Kahului Harbor and the whole of the Iao Valley.
