Culture of Wailuku

The basic cultural pattern of all the islands of Hawaii remains unique from the rest of the globe however it is extremely uniform within the state. As the initial migrants that formed dwellings in Hawaii were all from a single place thus the roots of Hawaiian culture are extremely rich and unified.

Although all islands boast of offering something that the others don't there are certain cultural traits that run through the hearts of the people of the entire state of Hawaii and are represented and reflected wholeheartedly by its people.

Although the population now offers a mix ethnic picture however they are called Hawaiians and embrace the culture of their homeland wholeheartedly.

The certain prime elements of the culture of Wailuku have remain unchanged through the whirlpools of time and till date it is a descendant of the norms and customs of the Native Hawaiians however different ethnic variants have over a period of twenty decades added their own flavors to the land and it now offers much more than it ever did.

Like all other places in Hawaii, Wailuku also boasts of promoting arts which includes aesthetic, performing arts, language, scripture as well as sculpture and form the foundations of the social structure as well as pleasure of the people of the island.

Initially a hub of tourists Wailuku received a lot of input but now it remains as one of the less visited areas in Hawaii and does not boast many hotels and resorts. The culture of Wailuku also highlights certain religious affiliations of the area through the two ancient temples which lie in close approximation to it and are called as Heiaus.

These two temples are known separately as the Haleki ? i Heiau and the Pihanakalani Heiau and both were built hundred of years ago for the religious offerings of the Native Hawaiians.
